Barrier Social Democratic Club is calling for nominations for Honorary Life Membership in recognition of long and meritorious service to the Club.
Who can nominate?
Financial members (Ordinary, Paid Life or Honorary Life members).
What’s required?
A completed Life Membership Nomination Form
One proposer and one seconder (both must be Full, financial members)
A brief summary of the nominee’s service (years of membership, roles, contributions)
How to lodge
Email the form to the Chris Nyman at [chris.nyman@yourclub.com.au] or hand it in at reception marked “Confidential – Life Membership”.
Closing date
Friday, 12th September 2025 at 5:00 pm
What happens next
The Board considers nominations under Rule 23(d).
Any nominations approved by the Board will be listed as ordinary resolutions at the AGM.
Eligible voting members will receive not less than 21 days’ written notice ahead of the AGM with the nominees included (as required by the Constitution).

Please don’t discuss individual nominees publicly (including on social media). Formal discussion and voting occur at the AGM. Facebook posts are for awareness only and are not the formal AGM notice.
